 Who we are...

The Tesubishi Bujinkan Dojo was formed from the Harlinen Bujinkan Shibu, a small study group located in Harlingen, Texas, that was a satellite of the Chattanooga Bujinkan Dojo. In early 2012 Chris Sanders, Shidoshi-Ho, of the Chattanooga Bujinkan Dojo, promoted Scott Johnson and Miguel Garcia to the rank of San Dan. Scott was also made a Shidoshi-Ho. We are under the direction of Ed Martin, 15th Dan, of the Pennsylvania Bujinkan Dojo.

Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi 34th Grandmaster

About our name...

We chose the name Tetsubishi Dojo due to the fact that we train outside in an area that is full of sandspurs. These sandspurs remind us of the tetsubishi (caltrops) that the Ninja would throw down to slow a pursuer.

Budotaijutsu...

Budotaijutsu is a collection of ancient martial arts under Grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi of Japan. It consists of six Samurai Ryuha (schools) and three Ninjutsu Ryuha. Some of these arts date back over a thousand years and were developed by Samurai and farmer alike. This art works. If it didn't, it would have died on the battlefield hundreds of years ago.
